Where to Watch 'Crime + Punishment in Suburbia': Streaming, Physical Media, and Cut Details
By Chloe Bennett
Is Crime + Punishment in Suburbia available on major streaming subscriptions like Netflix or Hulu?
No. The film is not a permanent fixture on subscription-based streaming services. It surfaces primarily as an ad-supported title on Tubi or Pluto TV, alongside transactional rental options on Prime Video and Apple TV.
Why is the physical DVD expensive on secondary sites like eBay?
MGM printed the North American DVD in 2001 and discontinued production shortly after. With no domestic Blu-ray reissue ever manufactured, low supply combined with steady cult interest keeps used copies trading between $15 and $35.
Does the movie follow Dostoevsky's book closely?
The movie uses the foundational thematic architecture of Crime and Punishment, specifically guilt, moral justification for homicide, and internal psychological deterioration. It swaps characters and motives to fit American high school and domestic dynamics, splitting the role of Raskolnikov between Roseanne Skolnick and Vincent.
