Where Is the 'Angus, Thongs' Cast Now? Netflix Reboot Rumors and Shocking Career Paths
By David Miller
Georgia Groome delivered a masterclass in physical comedy and teenage vulnerability as Georgia Nicolson. Rather than chasing Hollywood studio projects, Groome opted for independent British film, theater, and radio work. Her personal life took center stage in the entertainment press when fans realized she had been in a quiet, long-term relationship with Harry Potter star Rupert Grint since 2011. The pair welcomed their daughter, Wednesday, in 2020, intentionally remaining outside the intrusive celebrity spotlight.
The other members of the "Ace Gang" experienced very different post-Brighton journeys:
Eleanor Tomlinson, who played Georgia’s fiercely loyal best friend Jas, built one of the most successful acting resumes in modern British television. She captured critical acclaim as Demelza Poldark in the BBC’s epic period drama Poldark (2015, 2019), showcased sharp comedic chops in Stephen Merchant's The Outlaws, and earned praise for her role in Netflix’s acclaimed 2024 adaptation of One Day.
Georgia Henshaw, known as Rosie, worked consistently across UK television staples, securing arcs in Waterloo Road, Skins, Casualty, and Call the Midwife. Meanwhile, Manjeeven Grewal, who played the observant Ellen, made the deliberate choice to step away from the entertainment industry entirely. Grewal pursued higher education, transitioned into teaching, and now mentors young students in the UK public school system.
