Sara Waisglass, who portrays the emotionally expressive Maxine Baker, addressed the recurring delays during a mid-September press appearance. Acknowledging fan frustration with standard streaming hiatuses, she compared the current waiting period to the break between the show's freshman and sophomore runs. "The time between season 1 and season 2 was heinous," Waisglass noted, emphasizing that the team behind the show wants the narrative execution to match audience expectations.
Her remarks arrived just as social media speculation threatened to boil over. Discussion boards on Reddit and fan threads across X have spent months parsing behind-the-scenes social media posts from cast members Brianne Howey and Antonia Gentry for clues regarding call sheets and table reads. Waisglass's candor served as an official pulse check, assuring viewers that production momentum has not stalled despite the quiet spell from Netflix marketing.
