During the game's initial launch months, picking an undesirable jawline or voice pitch was a permanent mistake. If you grew tired of your avatar or regretted an experiment, your only alternative was abandoning your base and rolling a fresh world save. Pocketpair resolved this pain point in Update v0.2.0.6 by introducing the Antique Mirror.

The Antique Mirror functions as an interactive workstation that reopens the complete character creation screen mid-game. Unlocking it requires minimal investment, making appearance changes accessible early in the survival progression:

• Level 19 (unlocked in the standard Technology tree).
• 1 Point.
• Building Material Requirements: 100 Wood, 30 Stone, 20 Paldium Fragments.

Interacting with the mirror loads your character into the original creation suite. You are not restricted to surface-level cosmetic touch-ups like hair dyes or face scars. You can flip between Body Type 1 and Body Type 2, adjust limb thickness, re-sculpt facial features, and swap voice presets. The transformation process takes effect instantly upon confirming, with zero real-money microtransactions or rare resource taxes required per visit.

While the Antique Mirror completely handles visual restructuring, it does not alter underlying operational stats. Players seeking an attribute respec, reassigning points invested in Health, Stamina, Attack, Work Speed, or Weight, must produce Memory Reset Remedies at an Electric Medicine Workbench using Beautiful Flowers and specialized monster parts. Pocketpair kept physical aesthetic adjustments distinct from mechanical power optimization.
