Haliey Welch's Fanfix Controversy: How the Hawk Tuah Feet Buzz Unfolded
By Chloe Bennett
Social media commentators pounced on the Fanfix launch with mixed fascination and sarcasm. Over the final weekend of February 2026, reactions poured onto X, sparking viral threads that collected thousands of reposts. As reported by sports and entertainment portal Sportskeeda, one representative user post declaring that "2026 really got the easiest side hustles" became the central framing of the controversy.
The conversation broke down along predictable fault lines. Skeptics argued that transitioning to paywalled body images signaled the exhaustion of Welch’s mainstream brand equity. They pointed to the short lifespan of previous meme stars who exhausted mainstream goodwill before retreating into low-effort subscription services. Others viewed the maneuver with pragmatic respect, noting that Welch avoided explicit adult sites while tapping into an active, high-margin niche willing to spend real cash on trivial imagery.
