From Niche Tank Video to Viral Anthem: the Rise of the 'Use the Commodore' Fugu Fish Meme

Internet trends often burn bright and vanish within days, replaced by the next wave of high-production content. Yet low-fidelity clips built around strange animals and phonetic accidents consistently survive the turnover. The yellow fish singing about bathroom decorum succeeded because it was unpretentious, unvarnished, and completely ridiculous.
It required no knowledge of current events, no political context, and no brand loyalty. It offered five seconds of a bewildered fish imparting questionable hygiene advice. As platforms grow more polished and sponsored content crowds everyday feeds, the persistence of the singing pufferfish serves as a reminder that pure absurdity remains the native currency of the web.
