Cascades Indoor Waterpark 2026 Schedule: Operating Hours, Holiday Rates, and Maintenance Updates
Safety enforcement at Cascades is strict, particularly regarding water slide height requirements. Lifeguards run physical height checks at the base of slide stair towers, and park supervisors do not make exceptions for footwear or parental accompaniment on restricted slides.
The park’s premier attractions are its three three-story slide flumes. The Rapids (an inner tube slide featuring enclosed and open sections) and the Hydro Fall (a fast-moving body slide) demand a minimum height of 48 inches for solo riders. Swimmers measuring between 42 and 48 inches can access The Rapids only when riding a double tube with a supervising adult and wearing a Coast Guard-approved life jacket provided by the resort. The High Dive body slide strictly requires all riders to measure at least 48 inches, with no exceptions.
Families with younger children congregate primarily around Little Bear Falls, the dedicated toddler splash zone. This isolated shallow-water play structure features mini-slides, gentle bubblers, and interactive spray nozzles engineered for toddlers and preschoolers under 48 inches. Overhead, a 500-gallon tipping bucket douses the adjacent multi-level climbing play structure every several minutes.
For visitors wanting a calmer experience, the park's central indoor wave pool mimics ocean swells up to three feet high on alternating ten-minute cycles. Just off the perimeter sits the indoor outdoor hot tub, one of the park’s standout engineering features. Swimmers can slip through an insulated vinyl curtain into an outdoor, 102-degree hydrotherapy pool, surrounded by snowbanks in the depths of February or mountain greenery in midsummer.
