Foggy Nelson Age Guide: Character Canon, Elden Henson Bio, & Season 2 Return
By Marcus Vance
The route to reuniting Nelson and Murdock was far from straightforward. Initial iterations of Daredevil: Born Again lacked both Elden Henson and Deborah Ann Woll, a creative choice that prompted strong pushback from audiences and industry observers. When Marvel Studios paused production in late 2023 to rethink the series, executives committed to a creative course correction that reinstated the Netflix series as official, primary canon.
Set photos captured in New York City in early 2024 confirmed what fans had hoped for: Charlie Cox, Elden Henson, and Deborah Ann Woll filming together in front of a newly staged firm office. Bringing the original trio back together restored the emotional grounding that made the original Netflix show work. Foggy's grounded presence balances Murdock's darker, vigilante impulses.
The creative reset also highlighted how much the trio had matured. Matt, Foggy, and Karen are no longer idealistic upstarts scraping together retainers. They are seasoned operators navigating a hostile political environment shaped by Wilson Fisk's growing mayoral influence. Foggy's age and experience transform him into an indispensable legal strategist rather than just a comic foil.
