The conversation around Zendaya height in feet turned into a viral debate during the promotional circuits for Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019) and Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021). Holland measures an even 5 feet 8 inches (173 cm), creating a two-inch gap between the two co-stars. During an appearance on SiriusXM's The Jess Cagle Show in December 2021, both actors addressed the relentless press questions concerning their measurements.

Holland noted plainly that early screen tests never treated their vertical disparity as an obstacle: "It's not that weird. My mom is taller than my dad." Zendaya echoed the sentiment, telling interviewers that her own mother, Claire Stoermer, is considerably taller than her father, Kazembe Ajamu Coleman. "I honestly never thought of it as a thing," Zendaya shared. "Because my parents were always that way. So I didn't know that people cared until the internet told me they did."

The duo even shared a comedic set story on The Graham Norton Show about a practical stunt gone wrong. During an aerial swinging sequence where Spider-Man was supposed to gently deposit MJ onto a bridge, Zendaya's feet consistently hit the landing pads before Holland's. "Because of our height difference, my feet touched the ground before he could land, so he would end up swinging into me," Zendaya explained to host Graham Norton, breaking down the mechanical reality behind camera rigs built without accounting for an actress with longer legs than her superhero lead.
