Is Marshall Gay? the Truth Behind the Viral Celebrity Name Confusion
By Robert Thorne
Q1: Is Ben Marshall from Saturday Night Live gay?
A1: No public evidence indicates that Ben Marshall is gay. He has not made any public statements identifying as LGBTQ+, and his on-screen moments, including his viral kiss with Harry Styles, are scripted comedy.
Q2: Why are people searching "is Marshall gay" so often?
A2: The query spiked due to an SNL sketch in which Harry Styles kissed Ben Marshall. It also draws continuous traffic from people mixing up Ben Marshall with openly gay author Greg Marshall and Broadway performer Gay Marshall.
Q3: Are the Please Don't Destroy guys dating each other?
A3: No. Ben Marshall, John Higgins, and Martin Herlihy are longtime creative partners and friends who met during their college years at NYU. Their exaggerated intimacy in digital shorts is a deliberate comedic device.
Q4: Did Eminem ever say he was gay in real life?
A4: No. Searches linking Marshall Mathers to the query stem from a scripted cameo in the 2014 comedy film The Interview, where Eminem deadpanned a satirical confession during a fictional talk-show interview.
