Orchard entry does not require an upfront gate admission ticket. Visitors must purchase official farm picking bags before entering active fruit rows. Outside bags, backpacks, and personal containers are barred from the trees to prevent unmeasured harvesting. Picking bags range in size from a peck (approximately 10, 12 pounds) to a half-bushel (20, 22 pounds), with pricing set according to annual crop yields. Picking poles are not permitted; farm workers maintain lower branches through annual winter pruning so that adults and children can pick cleanly from ground level.
