Why Kate Hudson Secretly Scouted Wisconsin’s Mars Cheese Castle for Her Next Big Movie
By Chloe Bennett
The story behind Song Sung Blue draws from Greg Kohs' critically acclaimed 2008 documentary of the same name. Mike and Claire Sardina were middle-aged, blue-collar musicians facing economic and medical hardship who found unexpected creative redemption by transforming themselves into a Neil Diamond tribute band. Mike performed as "Lightning," channeling Diamond's charismatic stage swagger, while Claire sang as "Thunder," belts out duets and solo cuts with quiet conviction.
