Why Is the Lorax Suddenly Taking over the Internet Again?
By Chloe Bennett
Why did the 2012 movie become a meme instead of the original 1971 Dr. Seuss cartoon?
The 2012 production provided high-definition digital animation, punchy musical tracks by John Powell, and a recognizable vocal performance from Danny DeVito. These elements fit the needs of modern vertical video editors and remix audio software far better than the quiet, slower-paced 1971 television special.
What does the "Lorax leaving" template mean in online comments?
The template shows the Lorax lifting himself by his pants into the sky. It represents immediate disengagement, quiet resignation, or walking away from an absurd, hostile, or irredeemable situation without wasting further energy.
Who sang "How Bad Can I Be" in the animated film?
The song was written by composer John Powell and screenwriter Cinco Paul, with lead vocals performed by actor Ed Helms, who played the Once-ler throughout the film.
