Why Brookshire Brought Its Flagship Fresh Concept to Longview: the Full Story
By Elena Rostova
The development moved through a calculated 16-month construction cycle. Brookshire executives, municipal officials, and business leaders gathered under the East Texas summer sun on July 30, 2024, to break ground on the parcel. Heavy equipment reshaped the acreage over the following autumn, paving the way for a structure engineered specifically for complex commercial refrigeration, expansive scratch kitchens, and an outdoor gathering patio.
By mid-2025, structural focus pivoted to talent acquisition and operational setup. On July 8, 2025, company recruiters launched an aggressive hiring push to fill more than 250 store positions, ranging from department leaders and specialty butchers to baristas and curbside order fulfillment teams. The store held its grand opening on November 12, 2025, drawing large opening-day crowds that stretched around the storefront.
