Who Voices Dale Gribble Now? Everything to Know About the King of the Hill Icon
By Elena Rostova
The domestic situation at the Gribble residence remains one of television's longest-running dark comedies. Dale’s marriage to Nancy Gribble, and his complete, blissful blindness to her decades-long affair with John Redcorn, always walked a delicate line between tragic and hilarious. In the revival, the passage of time forces real changes.
With Joseph Gribble now entering young adulthood and resembling Redcorn more than ever, Dale continues to attribute his son’s athletic prowess and height to alien genetic manipulation or freak genetics. The show preserves Dale’s unshakeable, pure-hearted devotion to his family. Despite his paranoia about the federal government, Dale remains an attentive husband and a fiercely proud father. This grounding warmth separates Dale from becoming an unlikable caricature; behind the smoked aviators and Mack cap is a man deeply committed to his suburban haven.
