Who Is the Guy in the Viral Dancing Meme? the Internet's Latest Obsession Explained
By Chloe Bennett
Q1: What is the official name of the song playing in the Mufasa dancing meme?
A1: The original viral clip used the MK Dub remix of the 1992 house track "Push the Feeling On" by Nightcrawlers. The viral success led to an official 2021 remake titled "Friday" by Riton and Nightcrawlers, featuring Mufasa (Jeff Obeng) and Hypeman.
Q2: Is the viral dancing guy the same person from the Coffin Dance meme?
A2: No. The Coffin Dance meme features Benjamin Aidoo and his team of dancing pallbearers from Prampram, Ghana. The car-dancing video features Jeff Obeng (Mufasa), an independent dancer and creator from Maryland and Ghana.
Q3: Did the original dancing car video result in any injuries or legal trouble?
A3: No. The vehicle was moving at walking pace on an empty local road while Obeng danced parallel to the open door. Despite warnings from traffic safety monitors against copying the stunt, Obeng and his team filmed their segments safely without incident.
