Who Is Liz Dueweke? Everything to Know About the Fox 32 Anchor's Life and Career
By Sarah Jenkins
Liz Dueweke's biography and early life trace directly back to Michigan, where she grew up with an interest in public speaking and regional storytelling. Rather than opting straight for coastal media programs, she anchored her early training firmly in the Great Lakes region. Dueweke enrolled at Michigan State University, completing her bachelor's degree in telecommunication, information studies, and media.
During her university years, the broadcast industry was shifting toward modern digital newsrooms. She spent long hours in campus media labs, learning field shooting, tape editing, script timing, and teleprompter operation. Colleagues from her early training describe an intensely focused student determined to master the mechanical realities of local news. She knew early on that breaking into commercial television required a willingness to pack up her life, relocate to remote television markets, and work punishing shifts for minimal entry-level pay.
