Where to Stream Every James Lafferty Movie and Tv Show in 2026

Horror fans often overlook Lafferty's contributions to Mike Flanagan's celebrated universe. Flanagan, known for complex psychological narratives, cast Lafferty in the 2013 supernatural psychological thriller Oculus. Starring Karen Gillan and Brenton Thwaites, the film grossed $44 million worldwide against a modest $5 million budget. Lafferty played Michael Dumont, a stabilizing romantic figure swept into the lethal orbit of the Lasser Glass mirror. The movie is widely accessible on Starz and digital rental channels.
Five years later, Flanagan reconnected with Lafferty for Netflix's groundbreaking horror miniseries The Haunting of Hill House. In the first episode, Lafferty appears as Ryan Quayle, a brief romantic encounter of Shirley Crain (Elizabeth Reaser). While a single-episode appearance, his casting delighted fans of early 2000s television who tracked Flanagan's subtle Easter eggs and ensemble regulars.
