Calista Flockhart arrived on television screens as the emotional center of the Cage and Fish law firm, playing a lawyer whose vivid interior fantasies spilled directly into Boston courtrooms. Her portrayal earned three Emmy nominations, a Golden Globe win, and fierce media debates over modern professional womanhood.
Flockhart avoided being pigeonholed by choosing projects with deliberate pacing. She returned to network television as conservative radio host Kitty Walker in ABC’s family saga Brothers & Sisters, anchoring the program for five seasons from 2006 to 2011 alongside Sally Field. She later took on the role of media mogul Cat Grant in Supergirl, bringing sharp wit to comic-book television. In 2024, Flockhart drew rave reviews as Lee Radziwill in Ryan Murphy’s FX anthology Feud: Capote vs. The Swans, reminding critics of her razor-sharp screen presence. She also returned to the stage, starring opposite her husband Harrison Ford in private life while appearing in high-profile theater productions like Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? at the Geffen Playhouse.
