What Does the Linq Ice Bar Really Look Like? an Inside Tour
The experience begins in an insulated prep room where staff outfit visitors with heavy-duty thermal gear. Passing through double gasketed doors reveals an interior that feels detached from the desert outside. Every vertical and horizontal surface, the cocktail bar, barstools, intricate wall reliefs, and massive life-sized thrones, consists of solid ice.
Master carvers refresh and redesign these spaces several times a year, using special chainsaws, chisels, and high-intensity melting tools. The ice is distinct from cloudy household cubes; it is created using an intense directional freezing process that purges oxygen bubbles and minerals, resulting in glass-like transparency. Guests immediately gravitate toward the giant ice throne, draped in faux-fur skins to prevent visitors from freezing directly to the seat during photos.
Scattered throughout the space are hand-carved ice sculptures celebrating Las Vegas culture, wildlife, and pop culture icons. These range from oversized playing cards and dice to polar bears, penguins, and seasonal holiday displays. Interactive ice games, including a functioning ice cornhole set and ice shuffleboard, encourage guests to move around rather than sit motionless in the chill.
