The premier feature of the reimagined facility is the NinjaCross obstacle course. Unlike bulky inflatables that crowd pool surfaces, this mechanical setup is mounted to ceiling gantries above deep water. During dedicated lap swimming sessions, operators hoist the entire apparatus up to the ceiling trusses. When open swim starts, staff lower the suspension cables, instantly creating an aerial agility track right over the lanes.

WPTV covered the January 2026 debut, spotlighting the system as one of the few dual-track indoor-outdoor setups anywhere in Florida. The course features two side-by-side lanes: an intermediate lane for younger swimmers and a high-difficulty track featuring swinging rings, suspended cargo nets, and monkey bars. Because participants fall straight into eight feet of water when they lose grip, safety protocols remain rigorous.

Swimmers must be at least 48 inches tall and pass a mandatory on-site swim evaluation before entering the staging line. Lifeguards require every participant to swim 25 yards unassisted and tread water for 60 seconds. Flotation vests, water shoes, and loose jewelry are prohibited on the obstacle rig to prevent snagging.
