The viral reaction to the VMAs broadcast coincided with a major commercial announcement for the singer. Just days after the performance, ticketing outlets confirmed that Musgraves had expanded her 2026 "Middle Of Nowhere Tour" by adding five additional arena dates in response to overwhelming ticket demand.
Promoters reported surging secondary-market interest and waitlist spikes directly following her award-show appearance. The additional tour stops target key markets where initial allocations sold out during pre-sale windows, underscoring Musgraves' draw across both country purists and indie-pop crossover crowds.
