Visual Breakdown: Every Iconic Omni-Man Pose from Invincible to Mortal Kombat 1
By Elena Rostova
The climax of the Invincible Season 1 finale solidified Omni-Man's place in modern meme culture. Kneeling over a bloodied Mark Grayson on a shattered mountain peak, Nolan presses his index fingers to his temples, demanding that his son comprehend the fleeting nature of human existence. The framing is visceral. The animated shot places the viewer at Mark's ground-level perspective, looking up into Nolan's manic, desperate eyes as dust and snow blow across the frame.
Within forty-eight hours of the episode's April 2021 broadcast, the shot became an inescapable internet template. Creators swapped Omni-Man and Mark with characters from Star Wars, Pokémon, and classic literature, retaining only the two fingers pressed against the skull. Interestingly, the viral trend spawned a classic Mandela effect: social media captions overwhelmingly repeated the line as "Think, Mark, think!", even though the animated dialogue spoken by J.K. Simmons features Nolan uttering the word "think" only once. The exaggerated cadence of the line in public memory simply mirrored the sheer visual force of the pose itself.
