Now, users attempting a standard balance top-up are intermittently shown an alert indicating that cheaper rates await online. Clicking the prompt opens an integrated webview or mobile browser window directed to tiktok.com/coin, where buyers complete transactions using credit cards, PayPal, or localized merchant providers.
The savings are immediate. A bundle of 70 coins that costs $0.99 through mobile app stores frequently prices out at roughly $0.70 to $0.74 via the web interface. High-volume gift senders purchasing packages of 17,500 coins can see total checkout amounts fall from $249.99 down to roughly $175.00. Because payment processing fees for direct credit card clearing typically consume 2% to 3% rather than 30%, ByteDance preserves its operating margin while simultaneously delivering an in-app purchase discount directly to high-frequency spenders.
