The Real Story of Jones' Bbq and Foot Massage: Origin, Star, and Legacy
By Sophia Al-Mansoor
Q1: Was Jones' BBQ and Foot Massage a real business?
A1: No. It was a purely fictional parody commercial produced by Chicago comedians and filmmakers to spoof low-budget public-access advertisements.
Q2: Who is the actor playing Toby Jones?
A2: The character was created and portrayed by veteran Chicago stand-up comedian Robert L. Hines, known for his appearances on BET's ComicView and regional theater productions.
Q3: Why did Steph Curry start doing the Jones BBQ dance?
A3: Curry adopted the rhythm as an energetic, lighthearted pregame warmup ritual with Golden State Warriors staff, channeling the rhythmic cadence of the viral jingle to loosen up before games.
Q4: What happens if you call the phone number in the video?
A4: The original (773) 840-4240 number initially went to an automated voicemail inbox that collected thousands of jokes and confused queries. It is no longer an active hotline for the comedy crew.
