No actress from the ensemble experienced a sharper rise in recent cycles than Kim Ji-won. Her performance as the icy, bruised heiress Yoo Rachel laid the groundwork for complex anti-heroines throughout her career. Following the massive success of My Liberation Notes in 2022 and the record-setting run of tvN’s Queen of Tears in 2024, Kim became one of the most bankable actresses in the country. Her ad endorsements doubled within twelve months, and her agency navigated unprecedented script offers heading into the 2026 season.
Krystal Jung steered clear of mainstream formulas. After establishing her sharp comedic instincts as Lee Bo-na, Jung stepped into the film festival circuit. Her supporting role in Kim Jee-woon’s Cobweb brought her to the Cannes Film Festival red carpet. She bypassed typical television melodrama offers in favor of nuanced, low-budget character studies, earning praise from domestic film critics who once dismissed her as an idol singer.
Park Hyung-sik completed his own transformation from idol-actor to dependable leading man. He proved his dramatic range through series like Happiness and Soundtrack #1. His 2024 reunion with Park Shin-hye in JTBC’s Doctor Slump drew high international streaming numbers on Netflix, capitalizing on the chemistry the two built eleven years prior on the set of The Heirs.
Choi Jin-hyuk, who played Kim Tan’s stern half-brother Kim Won, shifted easily into romantic comedies and procedural dramedies. His work in Miss Night and Day proved his ability to balance physical comedy with straight-faced authority, keeping him in continuous demand for broadcast network productions.
