The Evolution of Megan and Jack on Tiktok: Timeline of Their Online Rise
By Chloe Bennett
By late 2022, sports-focused TikTok accounts began noticing recurring overlaps between Eugenio's posts and New Jersey Devils center Jack Hughes. The interest was immediate. Hughes represented an emerging class of NHL superstars: young, charismatic, and heavily featured in hockey culture fan edits. Unlike NBA or NFL stars whose dating lives receive conventional tabloid coverage, NHL personal lives often remain guarded, turning any credible rumor into instant algorithmic fuel.
Users matched hotel room headboards, restaurant backgrounds in downtown Manhattan, and game attendances. When Eugenio posted videos attending hockey games in New Jersey, the comment sections turned uniform. Dozens of top comments asked the same question: "Is she here for Jack?" Neither Eugenio nor Hughes issued public statements, but on TikTok, silence functions as fuel. The absence of a denial prompted amateur internet detectives to post side-by-side video breakdowns, each garnering hundreds of thousands of views within hours.
