Frustrated players routinely report that their burst failed to activate despite hammering the correct keybind. In almost every scenario, one of three combat conditions caused the failure:
First, meter drain from chip damage. If you entered a combo assuming your bar was capped, you might have lost a fractional percentage of meter right before the stun landed. Without a 100% full bar, the command will not fire.
Second, server latency and ping discrepancy. Roblox netcode interpolates player positions across server ticks. If your opponent executes a true combo at 40ms ping while you are operating at 130ms ping, the server registers the opponent's subsequent hit before your burst packet reaches the host. Your input gets overridden by the next hitstun flag.
Third, cinematic move priority. Certain ultimate abilities completely override combo breakers. If an opponent catches you in an Ultimate cutscene move (such as Atomic Samurai's awakened slashes or Boros's planet-clearing strikes), the burst mechanic is hard-disabled. Burst is designed to defeat standard character loops, not survive an already-triggered supreme cinematic.
