One Piece Episode 1160: the Terrifying Arrival of Loki, the Accursed Prince
By Alexander Ross
Episode 1160 signals a distinct pacing calibration by Toei Animation as the series navigates the post-Egghead landscape. Rather than rushing through chapters to match the manga's breakneck revelations, the studio chose a measured, atmospheric adaptation rate. This allows the weight of Elbaf's vertical geography to breathe on screen.
| Episode | Original Air Date | Manga Chapter Anchor | Narrative Focus |
|---|---|---|---|
| Episode 1158 | April 20, 2026 | Chapter 1127 | Awakening in the Lego-like Sun God dollhouse |
| Episode 1159 | April 27, 2026 | Chapter 1128, 1129 | Shattering the illusion; escaping into the open Warland |
| Episode 1160 | May 4, 2026 | Chapter 1130 | Luffy meets Loki; the Underworld revealed |
| Episode 1161 | May 11, 2026 | Chapter 1130, 1131 | Robin's emotional return; Loki's Faustian proposition |
Industry coverage praised the deliberate pacing. Both GameRant's review of Episode 1160 and critical roundups on Anime News Network noted that dedicating nearly 15 minutes of screen time solely to the standoff between Luffy and Loki allowed the voice performance to shine. The delivery blends aristocratic cruelty with simmering isolation, proving that Loki is not a throwaway antagonist, but a structural counterweight to Luffy's chaotic liberation.
