The undeniable spark between Wallace and Guevara was not purely spontaneous acting. It was deliberately amplified by costuming, lighting, and camera staging. On-set snapshots shared by the production crew show the meticulous detail paid to their physical framing.

In camera tests conducted weeks prior to principal photography, the visual department pitted Noah's grounded, slightly combative styling against Nick's sleek, privileged aesthetic. Noah’s early looks centered around functional denims, loose graphic tees, and minimal makeup, establishing her emotional defensiveness and discomfort with her mother's newfound luxury. In stark contrast, Nick appeared in tailored neutral knits, dark leather jackets, and crisp button-downs that broadcasted control and wealth. When the two actors stood shoulder to shoulder in early polaroids, the visual friction was unmistakable.

Behind-the-scenes photography from the beach party sequence and the underground racing warehouse reveals how director of photography Hermenegildo Vazquez utilized practical lighting to accentuate physical contrast. Stills caught Guevara leaning across Wallace’s space during rehearsal blocks, with directors adjusting shadows to highlight the sharp contours of their jawlines and the deliberate lack of eye contact. Their posture shifted gradually across filming blocks. Initial stills feature defensive cross-armed posturing from Wallace, while mid-shoot candid shots reveal an ease of contact that translated into the simmering, slow-burn cadence of the completed film.
