Oliver Dench Biography: Age, Judi Dench Ties, Hotel Portofino Roles, and Career Guide
By Maya Lin-Takahashi
Dench’s screen portfolio reveals an unconventional path. Born in 1992, he entered professional screen acting through youth television, landing a regular role as Will Palmer in the Nickelodeon equestrian drama Ride. The grueling shooting schedules of multi-camera youth television served as an intensive technical workshop, sharpening his ability to deliver clean performances across 20-episode seasons.
By 2019, he pivoted to American genre television, landing the male lead role of Xander Duvall in The CW's space-exploration series Pandora. Across two seasons and 23 episodes, Dench navigated greenscreens, heavy visual effects, and intense stunt choreography. The series established his viability in the American broadcast market before Hotel Portofino redirected his focus back to prestigious European drama.
