Michigan Stadium Seating Guide: Row Breakdown, Gate Access, and Big House Policies

Dive deep into Michigan Stadium Seating Guide: Row Breakdown, Gate Access, and Big House Policies with expert analysis.

Entering the facility requires understanding gate locations relative to your section. The perimeter fence features numbered entry points from Gate 1 to Gate 10. Gate 1 and Gate 2 handle traffic arriving from the south along Stadium Boulevard and Crisler Center. Gate 4 and Gate 8 manage flows from the east and north. Entering through the gate specified on your mobile ticket saves a quarter-mile walk through heavy foot traffic inside the outer perimeter.

The University of Michigan maintains one of the strictest bag policies in collegiate sports. Unlike the NFL, which allows 12-by-6-by-12-inch clear tote bags, the Big House enforces a complete bag prohibition. Backpacks, diaper bags, camera bags, fanny packs, and clear plastic totes are banned outright. The only exceptions are small clutch wallets measuring 4.5 by 6.5 inches or smaller. Medically necessary gear, including oxygen equipment or breast pumps, must pass inspection at Gate 9 on the stadium's north side.

ADA accessible seating receives solid infrastructure throughout the rim. Wheelchair accessible platforms sit directly at Row 54 along the main cross-aisle, as well as along the top rim in Row 72 and Row 96. East and West towers feature dedicated elevators for patrons with accessibility wristbands and tickets. Companion seating is provided alongside designated wheelchair spaces, complete with folding chairs rather than standard bleachers.
