Meredith the Cat's Custom Apartment Tour: Photos, Decor Details, and Furnishings
By Alexander Ross
Pet owners increasingly reject eyesore scratching posts in favor of intentional pet furniture. Meredith’s setup highlights how a specialized micro-suite differs from conventional household pet gear across functionality, maintenance, and animal well-being.
| Design Element | Standard Pet Setup | Meredith's Custom Studio Model |
|---|---|---|
| Spatial Allocation | Scattered corners in living rooms or hallways | Dedicated, dog-restricted micro room or nook |
| Primary Seating | Cardboard scratchers or floor-bound donut beds | Upholstered miniature couch with tailored cushions |
| Visual Integration | Mismatched synthetic carpet trees and plastic toys | Proportionate art prints, rugs, and coordinated color palette |
| Stress Reduction | Intermittent; constant exposure to dog activity | Continuous; autonomous boundary control for the cat |
| Estimated Cost | $50, $150 per scratching tree | $300, $1,200 depending on custom carpentry and furnishings |
