Matthew Dellavedova and Anna Schroeder: Complete Relationship Timeline
In autumn 2019, the Dellavedovas welcomed their first child, a son named Anders Ralph Dellavedova. Fatherhood altered the point guard's perspective, providing an immediate mental separation from the pressure of the hardwood. Soon after, their family grew with the arrival of a daughter, solidifying their focus on domestic calm.
Relocation became routine. When Dellavedova signed with Melbourne United in Australia’s National Basketball League (NBL) in 2021, Anna coordinated the cross-continental shift to Melbourne. The move allowed their children to experience their father’s home country firsthand. It also positioned Dellavedova for his historic role with the Australian Boomers, capturing a historic bronze medal at the Tokyo Olympic Games.
When the Sacramento Kings called Dellavedova back to the NBA in 2022 to provide veteran leadership for head coach Mike Brown, Anna helped transition the household back to Northern California. The location put them an hour's drive from where they first met as college athletes. Through every international flight, contract negotiation, and season shift, the couple has treated professional basketball as Dellavedova's job, not their identity.
