Lisa Kudrow and Karoline Leavitt Lookalike Craze: the Photos and Clips Sparking Internet Memes
By Elena Rostova
Physical appearance accounts for only half of the fascination. Watchers on Reddit and YouTube point out an oddly familiar vocal rhythm. While Leavitt maintains the rapid-fire, combative cadence expected of a press secretary defending administration policy, her pitch modulation and sharp enunciations bear an accidental resemblance to Kudrow’s signature delivery.
Commentators frequently cite Kudrow’s role as Michele Weinberger in the 1997 cult comedy Romy and Michele's High School Reunion. In that film, Kudrow deployed an assertive yet breathy conviction when defending absurd claims, a comedic posture that internet users couldn't help but map onto modern political spin. Video editors synchronized Leavitt's defensive hand gestures and head tilts with Kudrow's comedic timing, creating short clips that felt less like news analysis and more like satire written for primetime television.
