Dive deep into Launch's Hidden Cameos: Visual Proof of Her Secret Appearances Across Dragon Ball Z in this comprehensive feature.

When Dragon Ball returned to weekly broadcast television in 2015 with Dragon Ball Super, fans hoped Launch might reclaim her spot on Master Roshi's porch. Outside of a fleeting animated gag in the 2008 festival special Yo! Son Goku and His Friends Return!!, she remained entirely absent from the modern canon.

In 2018 promotional interviews for the Dragon Ball Super: Broly theatrical release, staff members noted that modern storylines prioritize fast-paced dimensional threats, multiversal tournaments, and deity-level hierarchies. Earthbound slice-of-life comedy, which Launch anchored in the late 1980s, shifted primarily to the domestic lives of Bulma, Chi-Chi, and Android 18. Furthermore, Tien Shinhan established an official martial arts dojo in the countryside, continuing his lifelong path of ascetic monkhood alongside Chiaotzu and leaving no structural room for Launch's comedic romantic pursuits.
