Lamar Jackson Roasts Knicks Nba Finals Ticket Prices with Hilarious Ninja Turtles Meme
By Robert Thorne
Jackson did not publish a long-winded thread breaking down market dynamics. He simply took a screenshot of ticket pricing, paired it with a vintage 1990 live-action still of Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, and Michelangelo pushing open a storm drain cover, and let the imagery do the work. The implication was clear to anyone familiar with Manhattan: sneaking through the sewers under 8th Avenue might be the only financially sensible way into the arena.
Within minutes, screenshots of Jackson's story migrated to X, Reddit's r/nba community, and sports talk feeds nationwide. The visual functioned as a lightning rod because it punctured the corporate veneer that typically surrounds professional sports. Elite athletes often sit courtside as guests of brands, leagues, or team owners. Jackson instead looked at the public ticket exchanges like an ordinary sports fan, saw the numbers, and called out the sheer absurdity.
