Central to the village's theatrical programming is the full-contact equestrian tilt, held in the main tournament arena. Professional stunt riders outfitted in custom plate armor perform unchoreographed lance passes and sword battles on horseback, supervised by the master of the lists.
The daily jousting tournament schedule follows three specific acts:
- 11:30 AM: The Joust of Skill, highlighting ring spearing, quintain targets, and obstacle handling.
- 2:00 PM: The Joust of Honor, introducing mounted combat with shields, squires' games, and initial lance impacts.
- 4:30 PM: The Joust to the Utterance, where knights settle royal grievances in heavy contact lance tilts followed by ground melee sword combat.
Beyond the tournament field, eight live entertainment stages run continuous 30- to 45-minute shows. Notable stops include the Washing Well Wenches comedy revue, the King’s Acrobats, the Falconry Aviary demonstrations, and the Bard’s Bower musical stage. In between performances, royal court performers stroll the grounds, holding court with guests and staging impromptu dramatic disputes in the public squares.
