Kevin Gates' 'Untamed' Resurgence: from Viral Snippets to Trending Status
By Chloe Bennett
Q1: Has Kevin Gates announced an official release status for "Untamed"?
As of 2026, neither Kevin Gates nor Bread Winners Association has confirmed a commercial release date for "Untamed." The song remains an unreleased vault recording circulating primarily through fan-uploaded bootlegs and short-form video snippets.
Q2: Why wasn't "Untamed" included on the tracklist for The Ceremony?
Gates curated The Ceremony around his personal evolution, spiritual healing, and emotional closure. The aggressive, combative tone of "Untamed" did not fit the conceptual arc of that project, prompting his team to hold the song back from the final commercial release.
Q3: Where can listeners hear the full version of "Untamed"?
No complete, fully mastered studio version has been distributed through verified channels like Apple Music or Spotify. Unofficial audio rips and low-bitrate edits are scattered across SoundCloud, YouTube, and decentralized file-sharing platforms, though these uploads frequently face copyright takedowns.
Q4: Are the circulating "Untamed" lyrics on Genius verified by Gates?
No. The Genius lyric entries for "Untamed" are entirely crowdsourced by community contributors who transcribed the words from low-quality audio snippets. Gates and his official management have never published an authorized lyrical sheet for the track.
