South African concertgoers spent months celebrating Doja Cat's arrival. Her discography dominates streaming charts across the continent, and her lineage has long served as a point of pride among local music listeners who identify with her South African roots. That excitement hit a turbulent snag once Dumisani Dlamini began posting video messages and answering press inquiries regarding her visit.

Dlamini remains a celebrated figure in South African television and cinema history.
