The atmosphere inside the hall shifted the moment the hosts introduced the evening's guest narrators. Dressed in understated, coordinated evening attire, Saunders and Song took their positions at the reading podiums alongside the chamber musicians. Rather than delivering formal greetings or relying on scripted celebrity banter, the pair read an evocative, poetic script intertwined with the ensemble's musical movements.

Their narration explored themes of childhood, time, and unconditional devotion. Midway through the sequence, their dialogue shifted toward their daughter, born in late 2024. Observers noted the natural synchronization between the two: Song paused to adjust Saunders’ microphone stand early in the performance, while Saunders alternated between fluent English and carefully measured Korean phrases. The performance revealed a level of ease that only years of genuine domestic partnership can build. Audience members later recounted on social media platforms that the delivery felt less like a rehearsed publicity stunt and more like an open letter read aloud to family.
