Is Yes Coffee Going Drive-Thru Only? Untangling Rumors Behind the New Location
High-end craft coffee roasters long resisted the drive-thru window because speed usually degrades extraction quality. Dialing in single-origin espresso shots requires meticulous timing, precise tamping, and scales. Commercial drive-thrus, conversely, demand ticket times well under two minutes.
To bridge this operational divide without cutting bean quality, Yes Coffee is modifying its workflow technology at the new site. The Hammock outpost relies on automated volumetric grinders, gravimetric espresso systems, and pre-batched cold infusions charged with nitrogen.
The operating hours and menu will mirror the fast-paced nature of the hardware. The drive-thru plans to open early at 6:00 AM, serving express espresso options, batch-brewed coffees, flash-chilled teas, and sealed bakery items sourced from its central Flagler Beach prep kitchen. Complex, slow-drip manual brew methods will remain strictly exclusive to the flagship café.
