Is the Kardashians on Netflix or Peacock? Debunking False Streaming Rumors
In late 2020, the Kardashian-Jenner matriarch Kris Jenner orchestrated a calculated exit from E!, an NBCUniversal cable subsidiary that had hosted the family since 2007. The initial twenty seasons of Keeping Up with the Kardashians defined unscripted cable television, but declining linear viewership prompted the family to sign an expansive global content deal directly with The Walt Disney Company.
The resulting show, plainly titled The Kardashians, launched in April 2022. It dispensed with the frenetic pacing and standard-definition production values of mid-2000s basic cable. Disney retooled the show into a glossy, documentary-style docuseries focused on the business empires of Kim Kardashian, Khloé Kardashian, and their sisters. Under this multi-year production arrangement, Disney holds exclusive worldwide distribution. In the United States, Hulu functions as the sole domestic carrier for full episodes on demand.
International distribution followed a consolidated pathway. Because Hulu operates almost entirely as a domestic US service, Disney funnelled the series directly into Disney+ across Europe, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and Asia under its Star general entertainment tile. In Latin America, the series initially launched on Star+ before Disney merged that content library directly into Disney+ in mid-2024.
