Is Sophia Rose Wilson Returning for Euphoria Season 3? Cast Status and Confirmed Details
By Chloe Bennett
Viral internet fame often invites immediate forensic analysis. In mid-2020, as the show’s secondary cast enjoyed meteoric increases in digital followers, internet sleuths uncovered historical Facebook posts belonging to Wilson. The archived screenshots revealed multiple instances where the teenager used anti-Black racial slurs across online exchanges.
The blowback was instantaneous. Petitions emerged demanding HBO cut ties with the actress, while online fan communities widely condemned the posts. Unlike established industry veterans who lean on public relations crisis management firms, Wilson never issued a formal public clarification or apology. Her digital footprint quietly shrank instead. While she still appeared in the background of selected ensemble sequences during Season 2, filmed under tight pandemic-era protocols, her dialogue remained minimal, and HBO excluded her from official press circuits and junket schedules.
