The resolution of Jujutsu Kaisen subverted the bleakest theories surrounding Megumi Fushiguro. Gege Akutami did not terminate the young sorcerer for shock value, nor did he allow Sukuna's corruption to become irreversible. Megumi lives, bearing both the physical scars of his possession and the heavy emotional cost of outliving his sister and mentor. His survival stands as one of the narrative's few enduring victories: a broken character dragged out of spiritual drowning by a friend who refused to let him abandon his own humanity.
