For readers wondering where to begin: Stolen functions as a standalone experience. Familiarity with the original twelve-book arc enriches Shaunee's emotional baggage, but the author team intentionally crafted the novel so that newcomers or lapsed fans can dive straight into the adult story without rereading sixteen prior volumes.
