Is Discord Checkpoint Real or a Hoax? How to Safely Check Your Official 2025 Stats Without Scams
By Marcus Vance
Q1: Why hasn't the official Discord Checkpoint banner appeared on my account yet?
A1: Discord distributes major end-of-year features in phased regional rollout waves. If your client is updated to the latest build and the banner is absent, your account may be queued in a secondary distribution tier, or your local data collection settings were disabled during the tracking window.
Q2: Do I need an active Discord Nitro subscription to see my year-in-review stats?
A2: No. Discord Checkpoint is completely accessible to free user accounts. Subscribing to Discord Nitro grants access to cosmetic profile items, animated export cards, and unique digital badges, but core activity metrics are free for everyone.
Q3: Can an external bot safely calculate my Discord Wrapped if it only asks for read permissions?
A3: Avoid external bots entirely for end-of-year recaps. Discord does not license official year-in-review API endpoints to third-party bot creators. Granting external bots access to your messages or server structure exposes your private communication patterns to unverified entities.
