Inside the Burn Test: How Sand + Fog Jasmine Actually Performs in Real Spaces
A candle lives or dies by its burn physics. We tested a standard 12-ounce double-wick Sand + Fog Jasmine jar across four sequential four-hour burn cycles to analyze wax consumption, heat distribution, and wick behavior.

The soy wax blend melts consistently. Because the jar uses two clean burning wicks placed equidistant from the rim, heat travels quickly across the surface. We recorded zero tunneling during our burn cycles, provided the candle burned for at least two hours on its maiden run.
The primary trade-off rests in the wick maintenance. The cotton wicks expand into carbon "mushrooms" if burned continuously past the three-hour mark. If you fail to trim them to one-quarter inch before re-lighting, the flame will flare, kick up black soot, and scorch the inner rim of the glass.
