Illit Wonhee Profile Guide: Age, Birthday Facts, and Her New Solo Era
By James H. Sterling
Wonhee's path to her twenties stands out because of its compressed timeline. Having trained for only a few months before entering JTBC's R U Next? in mid-2023, she faced public scrutiny over her readiness before finishing first in the fan-voted lineup. She debuted with ILLIT on March 25, 2024, scoring international streaming hits with "Magnetic" before completing high school.
| Era / Year | Age Status | Career Milestone |
|---|---|---|
| 2023 | 16 years old | Competes on R U Next?; earns 1st place in public voting to join ILLIT. |
| 2024 | 16, 17 years old | Debuts under BELIFT LAB with Super Real Me; breaks global rookie charts. |
| 2025 | 17, 18 years old | Solidifies stage stamina through domestic tours and brand endorsement campaigns. |
| 2026 | 18, 19 (Korean 20) | Launches first solo streaming series Wonhee is 20; headlines solo branded events. |
Among ILLIT's members, Wonhee occupies a unique position. She is the second-youngest member after Japanese dancer Iroha, who was born in February 2008. While Iroha still carries the technical title of group maknae, Wonhee has absorbed the steepest learning curve on screen, making her individual adulthood narrative a natural draw for streaming networks.
