How to Watch Small Sacrifices (1989): Streaming Options, Dvd Releases, and Viewer Faqs
By Sarah Jenkins
Because official streaming options are scarce, physical collectors keep secondary markets active. Fries Home Video and later obscure distributors issued standalone DVD editions in the early 2000s. These pressings remain out of print, yet they represent the only legal commercial releases available for home collectors.
| Distribution Format | Availability Status | Price Range (Secondary Markets) | Video & Audio Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Original DVD (2001, 2004 Pressings) | Out of Print (Rare) | $25, $60 | Standard Definition 4:3, stereo audio; varies by manufacturer region. |
| VHS Release (Fries Home Video) | Out of Print (Collector Only) | $10, $25 | Standard analog tape; requires operational VCR hardware. |
| Digital Retail (VOD Stores) | Unavailable | N/A | No licensed digital buy/rent listings on Apple, Google, or Amazon. |
| Archival Video Platforms | Unlicensed / Web Uploads | Free | Variable quality; typically 360p, 480p digital transfers of TV broadcasts. |
Prospective buyers searching eBay or Mercari should exercise caution. Many listings advertising sealed DVDs are homemade DVD-R bootlegs pressed from standard-definition television broadcasts. Official releases from Fries Entertainment or subsequent boutique distributors feature legitimate factory-pressed silver discs and authorized packaging barcodes.
